Lewes FC Vets have raised £600 for the Friends from a sponsored run and ride

Lewes FC Vets is a community of men and women over 35 who love football. They play on Wednesday and Friday nights, plus Sunday fixtures. (Find out more at oldqualityfc.com.)

When lockdown began they decided to challenge themselves with a shared bike ride and run from Lands End to John O’Groats. They then headed east to Istanbul and across Africa. Two members of the squad, Pete Bull (a Psychiatric Nurse and the founding Chair of the club) and Sam Holden (a nurse who has been on the Covid Ward) work at Lewes Victoria Hospital, so they very generously decided to contribute £600 of their fundraising effort to the Friends and we thank them for their contribution.
