A few days before Christmas, Lewes Athletic Club held the Lewes Downland Santa Run 2024. At the starting line, Philip Westbury, the new Chair of the Lewes Athletic Club welcomed the runners. Mayor Imogen Makepeace thanked Lewes Athletic Club for their fundraising efforts. The fantastic Lewes Rock Choir led by Charlotte Nash joined the community gathering cheering the runners on with festive singing. Father Christmas started the race with Ho Ho Go and off up the hill onto the Downs the runners headed!

Lewes Athletic Club to host third annual Santa Fun Run in support of Lewes Victoria Hospital
Many many thanks from Friends of Lewes Victoria Hospital to all the eager volunteers who worked together to help. This includes many roles - including the course markers, the many marshals who cheered runners on despite the cold and the helpers who handed out mugs of hot tea and mince pies to the runners at the end. A very jolly event all round and. Thank you very much LAC for donating £2538.61! Thank you very much community volunteers.
