PROJECTS FUNDED BY THE FRIENDS

We rely heavily on income from invested legacies which, funds almost half of all projects and equipment
The Charity is entirely run by volunteers.
Urgent Treatment Centre - Lewes Victoria Hospital
The Friends contributed £331,000 towards the development of the Urgent Treatment Centre (UTC) which, opened in April 2020. The UTC is and upgrade on the much loved Minor Injuries Unit and it is providing a very valuable addition to healthcare provision in our community.
The role of the UTC is to provide assessment and treatment to patients with minor illnesses and injuries that are urgent but not life threatening. It is a walk-in service, but if you contact NHS 111, they will give you an appointment to be seen by either a doctor or an urgent care practitioner.
