Christmas Hampers

Christmas Hampers

Every year the Friends deliver Christmas hampers to the staff at the hospital who are working up to and during the Christmas period. In the week before Christmas a few volunteers dressed in festive hats distributed the hampers to all departments and services at the hospital, including the Intermediate Care Unit. This is a small thank you from the Friends for all the hard work and dedication of the hospital staff throughout the year. They are very much appreciated.

Charity Dinner Dance at Barcombe Village Hall.

Charity Dinner Dance at Barcombe Village Hall.

On Sunday May 5th the Friend’s hosted a very successful Charity Dinner Dance at Barcombe Village Hall.

We were lucky to have a glorious sunny evening and on arrival guests were able to enjoy drinks and canapés looking out over the beautiful Sussex countryside. Christine Arbenz and her team served a delicious meal after which everyone was able to enjoy chatting and dancing to music played by the live band Louisiana Lightning.

During the evening we also held a live auction, brilliantly compared by Mike Sandford, and a silent auction, which together raised an incredible £1750 for the hospital. We would like to take this opportunity to say a special thank you to all the local businesses that so generously donated items to the auction.

Everyone had a very enjoyable evening and in total the event raised £2,272.06 for the hospital.
